"It is better to dwell in a corner of the housetop [on the flat oriental roof, exposed to all kinds of weather] than in a house shared with a nagging, quarrelsome, and faultfinding woman. "
(Proverbs 21:9-Amplified)
The above scripture is a definitely a challenge to wives on how we present ourselves in our household. We have a great responsibility, we set the barometer in our homes and marriages. What we say, our facial expressions and body language are essential when interacting with our spouses and children.
It is important that we take the time daily to examine our attitudes:
Do I have a positive disposition?
How are my facial expressions, are they disapproving, or loving and accepting?
Am I being patient with my family today?
Do I need a few minutes alone to get myself together?
Am I spewing out negative words, sarcasm and/or criticisms?
Am I complaining?
Did I greet my husband joyfully when he walked into our home?
Ladies, everyday is not going to be a "perfect" day, but we have to choose how we will deal with our circumstances. Let's start each day off right, by praying for God's grace and guidance. The Lord knows we cannot do this by ourselves!
Have a wonderful day on purpose!
